Chaoyang Ghost Crab: My First Day Out of Prison

I did sixteen years in a Xinjiang prison. Now I'm out. My name is Hu Changying.

Chaoyang isn't the Chaoyang of old anymore. Only Xiao Biezi came to pick me up, and he was driving a beat-up van.

Trouble found me as soon as I got out: the family of an old brother of mine was being bullied.

Those people hadn't recognized me yet. I'm Hu Changying. Sixteen years ago, they all called me Ghost Crab.

I was the kind of man who'd pull a gun without blinking.

Then a text message told me someone was watching me from the shadows. And this was a deep, deep mess. Whoever it was had something to do with how I “went crazy” back then.

My brothers were scattered, dead, or blind.

But I'll settle every debt with the person who owes it. I'm out alive, so there's nothing left to fear.
