Game Development: Players Cry and Beg Me to Release a New Game

Game designer Ji Que was sent to another blue planet by a coil of steel that came rolling down the road, and gained a Game Production System.

After transmigrating, Ji Que inherited not only the original owner's obese body and memories, but also the debts he had left behind.

Once there, Ji Que discovered that this world's entertainment technology tree had developed in a bizarre direction. The blockbuster movies, music, and games that had been hugely popular in his previous life simply didn't exist here.

He opened the local Top Games chart, and the screen was filled with formulaic, reskinned garbage. The underlying graphics and engine effects were impressively realistic, but the gameplay was painfully formulaic, and the interface design was incredibly crude. Worst of all, the predatory monetization UI flashed in players' faces like some website that gets a certain bro all worked up, making for an utterly miserable experience.

The more Ji Que looked into it, the more excited he became. He saw gold lying everywhere. Making games in this world would be like bringing a dimensional advantage to the fight.
