The 1960S: Daily Life in the Heavy Machinery Compound

The Anping Heavy Machinery Factory in the western suburbs of Hua'an City broke ground in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China and has been built into a heavy industry base with 10,000 people in more than ten years. The tide of the times has gradually slowed down, and now the factory has entered a period of stable and peaceful development. Feng Miao took root in the bustling family building of the factory yard from an early age, and got to know neighbors from all over the world. They read, played and stayed with each other year after year. Among the red brick Sulou, street fireworks and simple nostalgia, she pieced together the unique fireworks years of the Anping Heavy Machinery Compound in the 1960s.
