The Eight Shrek Monsters: The Beloved One Ascends to Godhood

After transmigrating into Douluo, my greatest golden finger wasn’t Twin Martial Souls. It was gaining seven family members who treasured me like nothing else.

My eldest senior brother Tang San would scour the land for immortal herbs for me. My second senior sister Xiao Wu would give me her favorite Soul Bone. Oscar and Ma Hongjun nearly came to blows fighting over a Soul Beast for me, while Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing, that frosty couple, would “compete for my affection” over who got to train with me.

Even Teacher Zhao Wuji would put on a stern face while secretly slipping an extra chicken drumstick into my meal.

All I wanted was to stay out of the plot’s whirlpool and be their “Little Sister Zhu Ying” in peace.

But why did Spirit Hall have to provoke me?

When the shadow of the Pope’s Palace fell over Shrek, and Bibi Dong’s Rakshasa Divine Power targeted my family…

Well, I’m sorry, but you asked for this.

I stepped forward slowly as nine Soul Rings rose around me in the optimal configuration: two yellow, two purple, four black, and one red. The illusory forms of two utterly different Martial Souls roared and intertwined behind me.

“You can come after me, but if you lay a hand on my family…”

“Spirit Hall, did you ask my ‘Heavenflame’ and ‘Netherworld’ first?”

In this life, I’ll protect everyone and give them all a happy ending. I’ll make this bamboo shadow a god, eternal and undying.
