The play is adapted from the comic of the same name created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. It tells the story of a group of spontaneously formed "pickets" members who fight to the death against the evil superpowers of Vought International in order to prevent sanctimonious and corrupt "superheroes" from abusing their superpowers to harm the world.
