God of Theater Fanfiction: Don’t Mess with That Heart Patient

[A derivative of The God of Theater + a new world + Bai Chu pairing + a tug-of-war with fate]

[Clingy, loyal puppy Bai Ye · cool, beautiful Chu Muyun]

“My name is Bai Ye. I'm a bookstore owner. My partner (wife) is surnamed Chu, and he's a male doctor. We specialize in all kinds of calamities and mutations, and our motto is to save all living beings.”

Bai Ye was certain the world was fake. Chu Muyun thought he was just imagining things and took him to see a doctor. Bai Ye clung to Chu Muyun and refused to let go, insisting that the world itself come forward and prove it.

A thunderbolt struck from underground, and the pair's sealed memories of their old world came flooding back.

The new world laid it out plainly: Since you've stumbled upon the truth, stay here and work for me for free.

The old world of The God of Theater had powerful forces. Its extraordinary inhabitants, including holders of divine powers, the Nine Lords, and vessels of calamity, couldn't adapt to the rules of the new world. So the world granted the two of them a special cheat: a household registration book.

The book's ironclad rule: making existence seem reasonable is the foundation of stability in the present world.

Whatever was written in the book became real. Using Chu Muyun's identity as a doctor, Bai Ye labeled all the displaced people who couldn't adapt as psychiatric patients and settled them in a hospital.

Auditory and visual hallucinations, amnesia, split personalities: they had it all.

Just as the household registration book was nearly full and Bai Ye thought he was finally free, the new world delivered terrible news: the displaced people had burned the book.

Bai Ye picked up a boning knife and set off to confront the culprit, when the new world's voice suddenly rang out:

The one who burned the book was your wife. He's the next displaced person to be dealt with, and the last one is you.
