The Six Realms Crumble, and I Rebuild the Underworld in Forty-Nine Days

The Three Realms have fallen into chaos, and the Underworld has collapsed.

The dead have nowhere to go, and their resentment has become a scourge ravaging the mortal world. The Ten Yama Kings have all fallen, the Six Paths of Reincarnation are in utter disarray, and the boundary between life and death is on the verge of collapse. Heaven issues its final ultimatum: rebuild the Underworld within forty-nine days, or the Six Paths will be severed forever and the world will be destroyed!

At the cost of their divine status, the Great Emperor of Dongyue and Meng Po fought to suppress the final collapse. Both were reincarnated in the mortal world, their divine souls damaged and their memories incomplete.

When fate brings them together again, they must restart the Ten Halls of Yama within forty-nine days, recall their former subordinates, and repair the Bridge of Helplessness, the River of Forgetfulness, and the Book of Life and Death...

One is an ordinary funeral-home intern who holds the Mount Tai Token, yet is close to forgetting who he is.

The other is a cool, reserved woman who sells bone broth by the roadside and cooks soup for the dead every day, unaware that she herself is Meng Po.

Life and death are reversed, while power struggles intertwine with reincarnation.

Can they start from scratch, turn the world around, and soothe the fury of the dead?

This is an epic battle with their lives on the line:

Rebuild the Underworld, take control of fate, and defy heaven to change destiny from the ruins!
