Yizhi Belongs to You

[BL, not a wish-fulfillment story, no System, she pursues him at first, then he pursues her, opposites attract]

People always say that college is the most vibrant prelude to youth.

But the prelude to Chen Yu and Huang Yiyi's story began one unexpected afternoon before the start of term.

Chen Yu saw an old man lying on the ground and the passersby turning a blind eye. Without hesitation, he stepped forward to help.

It was nothing more than a small favor, until the next day, at the freshman registration desk, he saw a senior from the Class of 2024 smiling and calling him “freshman.” Only then did he recognize the same gentle look in her eyes as his grandmother's.

She drew close to him with her affection impossible to hide. Their flirtation quietly blossomed along dim paths and beneath the library lights. He thought their growing feelings would follow her lead, but after an unexpected clash, her gaze suddenly turned cold, and she could not even bring herself to offer an explanation.

So even the one who falls first can be the one to walk away.

Only later did Chen Yu understand that love at first sight was never about who confessed first. It was about...

“I want to call you and tell you the weather is clear, tell you that I love you, just as people love hope and certainty.”
