He Favors Sons, Won't Support the Family, but the Rugged Neighbor Spoils Me Rotten

[Married off far from home + taking down a vicious mother-in-law + rough-hewn man who dotes on her] Lin Yan traveled a thousand miles to marry for love, but her scumbag husband resented the daughter she gave birth to and rekindled his romance with his first love.

Her wicked mother-in-law secretly bathed her two-year-old granddaughter in cold water in ten-degree weather, hoping the child would fall ill and die so she could have a grandson.

One night, when her daughter came down with a high fever, Lin Yan had nowhere to turn for help.

Her mother-in-law scolded her, “Why waste money on a sick little money pit?”

With nowhere else to turn, Lin Yan asked a rough-edged thug everyone feared, “Could you lend me 200 yuan?”

A few days later, Lin Yan came home to be beaten by her sister-in-law and in-laws. That night, she poured a bucket of oil in their room and gripped a lighter, ready to take them all down with her.

Her wicked in-laws were so terrified they cried and begged for mercy.

Later, her husband's first love became pregnant, and his family tried to ruin Lin Yan's reputation and squeeze out the last of her worth.

They took 2,000 yuan from an old bachelor in a neighboring village and let him into her room on a rainy night.

Lin Yan gave her wicked mother-in-law what she wanted, then took her daughter to the rough-edged man's house next door. His calloused palm caressed her cheek, and his burning lips pressed against hers. In a hoarse voice, he said, “Lin Yan, be my woman. I'll treat you well.”

Later, Lin Yan divorced her husband, married the rough-edged man next door, and had twin sons. But her ex-husband's first love's husband came at their whole family with a knife and wounded them.
