The Old Land is a wasteland world watched by nine cosmic projections.
Three hundred years ago, "the rift opened" and nine indescribable beings threw their power marks into the old land. Civilization collapses, the fallen run rampant, and the awakened use the power of projection to survive, but they also move towards madness step by step.
The protagonist Zhou Chen is a special soldier from the original Earth in 2026. After his death, he time travels back to the survivor of the same name from the old land.
He cannot awaken.
Because his soul did not completely fit with this body, a "soul rift" formed in his body. This prevents him from being stably marked by any projection, but it also allows him to temporarily borrow the power of nine projections.
Others awaken to the gods.
Zhou Chen stole the gods.
The stronger others are, the closer they are to madness.
The stronger Zhou Chen gets, the closer he gets to disappearing.
