Tomato Novel version:

Ten years ago, Lin Shen was an orphan who skipped grades to get into university. He shamelessly made himself Shen Yanzhi’s student. From then on, someone kept him on top of his schoolwork and reminded him to eat. But the day his recommendation for graduate school came through, he’d had enough. He thought his teacher was too controlling, so he ran off without a word.

Six years later, he was worth tens of billions, but after driving a college student to their death, he went on his knees at his teacher’s door.

…

His teacher asked him, “Are you here to solve the problem, or to distance yourself from it?”

He couldn’t answer.

Because the first thing he’d said was, “Legal is handling it.”
