In his previous life, Wu Yue passed the entrance exam for a junior college, but couldn't scrape together the tuition and had to give up his place, leaving home to work at a young age.
He married and had a child, but his wife cheated on him, and the child wasn't his. People nicknamed him Water Margin's Wu the Great.
For more than a decade, he drifted from job to job, working in factories, driving freight, and laboring on construction sites. He wore himself down with injuries and illness, and his life became a complete mess.
In 2026, he collapsed from heatstroke at a construction site. When he opened his eyes, he was back on April 1, 2009, with just sixty-six days until the college entrance exam.
He remembered clearly that the following year, Uncle Liu would discover more than forty pounds of gold in a cave on the hill behind Pingdi Mountain Village!
The opportunity he had once only dreamed of was now within reach.
This time, he would get there first.
He would keep up with school, prepare for the entrance exam, and quietly head into the mountains to retrieve the gold.
Tuition would no longer be a problem, his family would never have to suffer again, and he would rewrite their impoverished fate with his own hands!
