1943, Occupied Shanghai. Chen Jiuan, the shopkeeper who ostensibly runs the "Qingyuan Tea House", is actually an underground intelligence agent of the CCP code-named "The Shopkeeper." His daily routine involves weighing tea, making tea bags, chatting with customers, and conveying information about life and death through the types, weights, and packaging techniques of tea leaves. Until one day, a regular customer paid three more French currency and specified "Shifeng Longjing before Qingming Festival last year" - and that batch of goods had been requisitioned by the Japanese army as early as the beginning of the year.
