Lin Du, a specially appointed Daoist priest with Bureau 749, was struck by a bolt of heavenly lightning and sent to Haiteluo City.
On his first day there, the Anomaly Management Bureau recruited him and gave him the codename “Xiao Er.”
On his third day, some street thugs tried to extort protection money from him. He scared them to tears with a single glance, and they cried out, “Dad!”
On his seventh day, a Level Seven anomaly appeared across the city, and Lin Du set up an altar atop a skyscraper to perform a ritual.
That night, flames filled the sky, turning Haiteluo a scorched yellow.
A dragon hiding beneath the sea trembled, tears welling in its eyes:
“That Daoist still hasn't let me go!!!”
