NBA: The Spurs Passed on Wembanyama, and the League Went Crazy

In the small-ball era, are threes raining down everywhere while softies roam the court?

The freakishly gifted Wembanyama lands with the Spurs, stirring up a storm of overwhelming mismatches.

Nineteen-year-old Chinese prospect Bai Ying, with a 220-centimeter wingspan and unprecedented toughness, gets snapped up by Milwaukee!

From then on, the whole league knows the Bucks have a madman.

He has no offensive skills to speak of, but whenever the Bucks miss a three, he charges into the paint like a bull in rut.

Draymond Green tries to trip him?

Bai Ying triggers the [Backlash Rule], powers up for a dunk, draws a flagrant 2 on Green, and gets him ejected on the spot!

King James tries to bulldoze his way to the basket?

Bai Ying stands his ground, holds his position perfectly, and draws three straight offensive fouls on him, leaving him questioning his sanity!

Lillard: “Every time I miss a shot, I know there’s a brother in the paint giving it everything he’s got to clean up after me. He’s the real leader!”

Bucks owner: “Give Bai Ying a max contract! What? He doesn’t average 20 points? He takes the other team’s two best players out of the game every night. That’s not worth 50 million?!”

He’s an outlaw on the NBA free-throw line, and the toughest shield on the Chinese national team!
