Clearing My Name and Entering the Court

When she was twelve, she knelt at the very front of the execution ground and watched her father's head roll. Her father said, “Don't cry. If you cry, you lose.” She did not cry. Nine years later, disguised as a man and using the name Shen Zhiyuan, she gets into the Ministry of Justice through her forensic skills: identifying a killer from footprints, determining time of death from lividity, and uncovering hard evidence of corruption in account books. She thinks she can clear her father's name by reviewing old case files, but on her first day at court, she discovers that someone has already taken her father's dossier. Someone is watching her, and a note has been slipped through the crack in her door: “Beware the Minister.” Prince Qi, the Minister, the Grand Secretariat: everyone is waiting for her to make a move. But she did not come here to be a pawn. She came to overturn the whole board.
