Synopsis of The Heavenly Gate Delivery Rider:
On a stormy night, Xi’an delivery rider Wang Tianhui receives a high-paying order.
Delivery address:
Floor B33, Tianmen International Center, Gaoxin District, Xi’an.
The problem is that the building has been unfinished for five years. No company has moved in, and there is no way it could have a thirty-third basement floor.
The order has just one note:
“Deliver late, and the whole city will be buried with me.”
Desperate to pay his mother’s medical bills, Wang Tianhui goes anyway.
After that night, he discovers that behind this ancient yet modern city lies a real world of cultivation.
Hospitals are stealing ordinary people’s years of life;
Livestreaming companies are using desire to refine incense and faith;
Cosmetic surgery clinics are taking people’s faces and fortune;
Financial conglomerates are harvesting people’s lifespans;
Data centers are recording the karma of mortals;
And in the northern foothills of the Qinling Mountains lies a rift through which the Thirty-Three Heavens are descending upon the human world.
The so-called immortal sects never disappeared.
They simply changed their ways and concealed themselves within modern society.
In their eyes, ordinary people are nothing but “human resources” to be priced, exploited, and refined.
Wang Tianhui has no spiritual roots, no immortal bones, and no special destiny.
By the standards of the immortal sects, he isn’t even worth refining.
And yet the Heavenly Dao cannot find him, karma cannot bind him, and the immortal sects cannot predict him.
He is the sole loophole in the entire cultivation system.
Others cultivate to ascend to immortality.
Wang Tianhui cultivates to return the heavens to the human world.
