The Bronze Mirror: I Come from Two Thousand Years Ago

Shen Yue, a history graduate student in the 21st century, accidentally touches an ancient bronze mirror and transmigrates to the fourth year of Yong’an in the Shang Kingdom.

She wanders into the emperor’s bedchamber and becomes a special companion reader in Zichen Hall. As she navigates the intrigues of the imperial palace, she relies on a century’s worth of historical records to survive in the cracks between events.

No one knows that the bronze mirror connects two worlds and allows only a hundred crossings. When their final farewell ends, the passage seals forever, leaving her stranded in the modern world, close enough to touch yet worlds apart.

The emperor of Great Shang, Si Hen, waits for her for a month. Once he sees how things will end, he abandons his vast empire and retreats to the mountains to seek immortality through cultivation.

For two thousand years, he keeps watch alone in the barren mountains, with seventy-two generations of the Pei family by his side.

When the cycle begins anew, he crosses mountains and rivers to find her.

“Shen Yue, after a thousand years, I have finally come to find you.”
