Back and Forth Through the Old Days of First Year

No melodrama, no domineering CEO, just an ordinary love story between people around us.

In the noisy height of summer, with evening breezes on the sports field and sunsets over the river, Yang Leyi and Li Yanchu's mutual crush began in seventh grade. Their youthful love filled every corner of their adolescence.

I hope you can find again the person who made your heart race back in your youth.

As the college entrance exams drew near, a host of worries weighed on Yang Leyi. She feared the gap between their grades and didn't want Li Yanchu to give up competing just to accommodate her choice of university. A girl from the team pulled Yang Leyi aside and confessed her feelings, while a misunderstanding that was hard to resolve took root in Yang Leyi's heart. Layer upon layer of hurt and misgivings piled up. After the exams, she chose to cut off all contact, leaving for another city without a word and vanishing completely from everyone's lives.

With a heart full of confusion and concern, Li Yanchu searched for her for seven whole years, waiting all the while.

Time passed, and their former classmates each went their separate ways. Then, at Jiang Hanxi's wedding, Yang Leyi finally appeared after years of absence. Across the banquet hall, the two faced each other from afar for the first time in seven years, stirring up regrets and longing buried for so long. The misunderstandings of their youth, the worries kept hidden in their hearts, and the long wait spanning seven years all came rushing back. The love that began in seventh grade would, in the years to come, slowly heal everything they had missed.
