My name is Fan Wujie, and I'm an ordinary senior in high school.
Today is Tomb-Sweeping Day. Many residents are burning joss paper in our apartment complex, and smoke has blanketed the whole place. I know it's against the rules, but I don't bother to make a fuss.
But little by little, I realize that something is wrong with the world.
Strange rules appear without warning in the residents' group chat. There is the eerie Building 1432, and a team of security guards on high alert patrols the grounds. The school is cramped and oppressive, its administrators may not even exist, and bizarre incidents keep erupting without warning...
As I experience one paranormal event after another, I gradually stop being human and become a netherworld constable who devours evil spirits.
