A thousand years ago, the ancient clans tore apart their covenant of coexistence out of greed. Their internal strife brought alien beings from the void into the world, while the treasures of the Nine Forbidden Lands lay buried and mysterious crystals from another realm concealed deadly dangers.
The ordinary young Chen Yan accidentally stumbles into a secret realm and awakens a symbiotic curse mark capable of reconciling the two worlds. He meets Zhao Hu, a powerful cultivator who can refine soul power, and befriends a formation-guarding beast and an ancient spirit that protects the ley lines. Following a thousand-year plan left behind by a neutral elder, the group searches for treasures and breaks formations throughout the secret realm. They uncover the black-robed extremists’ thousand-year conspiracy, open a passage between the two worlds, and put an end to the turmoil in the other realm.
When the void calamity sweeps across heaven and earth, the four use nine supreme treasures of balance to build a defense spanning the entire realm. They venture deep into chaos to seek the source of the alien beings, then begin the final battle at the core of the Ruin Abyss.
Once the dust settles, Chen Yan takes charge of the laws that balance heaven and earth. Using the treasures of the ley lines, he builds an eternal barrier and renews the covenant of coexistence between the two worlds. All beings live together in peace, while the two of them guard the void for generations to come, becoming known together as the Coexistence Dao Lords.
