Su Bai transmigrated.
He became the weakened version of the supreme Fox Demon King of the Demon Realm.
His cultivation was gone, his territory carved up, his clan scattered. All he had left was a fluffy little fox body, and he was being taken to the Demon Execution Platform to be put to death in public.
The good news: he bound himself to a System.
The bad news: the System provides special effects, not combat power.
Celestial Fox illusion: fake. Golden light effects: just pretty. Epic background music whenever he fights: but he can’t hit anyone.
The System’s exact words: “Host, fighting head-on is impossible. It’ll never happen in this lifetime. But bluffing? That you can do.”
And so, a socially anxious guy who can’t even talk properly when he sees a pretty girl is forced down the one-way road of putting on an act and pretending to be a big shot.
On the Demon Execution Platform, he releases the phantom of the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox for the first time. The whole crowd drops to its knees.
When the golden light fades, he rides off on the Holy Maiden’s flying sword, calling back over his shoulder, “Miss, I’m borrowing your sword for now. I’ll treat you to a meal sometime!”
Later, someone asks him what it feels like to go from a socially anxious nobody to a big shot worshipped by every demon.
Su Bai is silent for a long while. “It’s… pretty embarrassing.”
