While they worked together to solve the murder, they were wary of each other. The details of the case investigation are written very carefully, and many clues are hidden in the detailed descriptions of the environment and physical evidence. It requires calmness and concentration to read. The emotional line is developed later, with the focus on the game of the case and the psychology of the characters.

The atmosphere is very strong when I read it, and the scenes such as the foggy river beach and the river bank on a rainy night are very immersive. The case was not treated simplistically, and the murderer's logic and evidence-destruction techniques were well-founded. There is no blind trust between the two protagonists, suspicion and tacit understanding coexist at the same time. The emotional line is long and thin, but the focus is still on the case, the secrets of the characters and the background of the fictional world. This suspense book really doesn't just rely on murder to stimulate excitement! The tension between the characters is so exciting, the partnership between the detective and the consultant is full of sparks, the case is just the shell, the games and undercurrents of the characters are what gets more and more exciting the more you watch!

I thought it was here to solve a puzzle, but I was severely disturbed by the feeling of being pulled by the characters. The case is certainly exciting, but the two protagonists test each other and can't help but believe in the chemical reaction that is really addictive. I felt that there was a subtle change in the detective's attitude later on, and the corners of his mouth could not move down the whole time!

The pacing is slow and intense, and the many career lines should belong to the plot flow. Varok and Rik are suspicious and testing each other. They are doing business on the surface, but they speculate on each other privately. They are still very good-natured against the young couple [blowing kisses]
