Arknights: Visitors from the West

The author will say a few popular words here in advance. After reading this book, you may feel very immersed. But due to my own writing philosophy, there may not be an obvious hook to keep reading at the beginning. It may be difficult for you to empathize with the characters. This is normal. This work may require you to think with your brain. The protagonist participated in the "Operation Promised Land" led by the federal government as an embedded reporter, tracking the combat operations of 40 Rangers of the fictional U. S. Army Terra Advance Corps' Knife Platoon who launched a battle against the Kazdaele Military Council in the Kazdaele Civil War. Witnessing the civil war that took place in the world of Terra and encountering frequent battles, he narrated a disturbing story from a higher perspective, about the conflict and exchange between the two civilizations, and the suffering on the land under the war. Unknowability, excitement, fatigue, fear and ubiquitous death form the main theme of this book. This book does not provide any strongly subjective judgments. The intention is not to provide information about modern armies crushing other worlds. It does not provide the thrill of pure killing. In addition to the main story, there may be side stories for other characters. Some unexplained things in the main plot may be answered in the branch plots.
