What's it like to be a doomed princess who gets executed in Chapter 28 of a book?
An Ning has no idea. All she knows is that she's been bound to a deadly System:
[Hatred-for-Life System]
· The Host must make characters in the book hate her to stay alive
· The protagonists yield the most hatred points, supporting characters the next most, and extras the least
· 100 points are deducted each day. If the balance hits zero, the Host dies
An Ning: “...So I have to make people hate me to stay alive?”
System: “That is correct.”
An Ning: “…”
To survive, An Ning has no choice but to throw herself headfirst down the road of becoming a “vicious supporting character.” She mouths off to the Regent, makes the Grand Tutor's daughter cry, impeaches powerful officials before the emperor, and makes enemies among the noblewomen. She diligently racks up hatred every day, only to realize that the more recklessly she courts death, the stranger the Regent Xiao Yan's gaze becomes. He was supposed to have her executed in Chapter 28.
From “The princess certainly has a temper” to “There's no way out of this. I'll marry you,” from a cold ruler-and-subject relationship to “Her affairs are my affairs”...
An Ning finally can't hold back. “System, does he like me?”
System: “This System cannot determine human feelings.”
An Ning: “...Could you use a different line for once?”
This is probably the story of a doomed princess who recklessly courts death to stay alive, only to accidentally turn the biggest villain in the book into her husband.
