Other people's Systems: issue quests, reward legendary gear, and let you breeze through life. Chen Mo's System: “This scrap metal can still be salvaged! Don't throw it away!”

Others rely on their Systems to conquer the stars. I rely on mine to scavenge every last piece of junk and conquer the stars. Chen Mo is the poorest student at Ironrust Starfield's Third High School. His parents went off-world for work and never came back, leaving him and his grandfather to run a scrap yard. When Chen Mo turns eighteen, his grandfather passes away of old age, leaving him with just one piece of advice: “Don't sell the yard. It can keep people alive.” From then on, Chen Mo wears his school uniform to class by day, then takes a beat-up spaceship to the scrapyard to dig through scrap metal in the afternoon. That is, until a dusty black cube activates the [Civilization Rescue System].
