Fighting and defeating the Buddha. On the day of Lingshan's coronation, the golden hoop was shattered. It wasn't Wukong who broke free - it was Jinhu who died. The thing that had been living in his mind for a thousand years suddenly died.
Then he began to see the real world. Lingshan is not a holy land, but a feeding ground. The golden light is not the light of the Buddha, but the power of wishes that is being digested. The compassion on the faces of the Buddhas is the satisfaction of having eaten their fill. And he himself - the "monsters" he killed on the way to obtain the scriptures were not monsters, but members of his own race. It's his siblings.
When the golden hoop was in his mind, the "monster" he saw was actually free life. The "sense of justice" he feels is actually the pleasure of eating parasites. He thought he was slaying demons, but he was actually a knife, held in the hands of parasites, harvesting his own kind one by one.
Now the knife is awake. He returned to Huaguo Mountain and the stone where he was born. There is no "Don't go westward" on the stone - those are Jin Hoop's last words, the parasite's final control. There are only two words really engraved on the stone: remember. He remembered everything.
Then he looked in the direction of Lingshan Mountain in the distance and smiled. Not an angry laugh. It is the smile of a hunter when he sees his prey. "I made a knife once. This time, I want to make the hand that holds the knife."
But when he fought all the way to Lingshan and saw the whole truth of the world, he discovered that immortals and Buddhas are not evil. They are just hungry.
He can destroy them. But the billions of living beings behind them will die together. The knife became a cage again.
