Yan Xi only meant to ask her best friend to go get their nails done. But her finger slipped, and she sent the message, “I’m in the mood. Come pick me up,” to her cold-faced boss, Xiao Mohan.

CEO Xiao replied instantly:

“Where are you?”

Yan Xi wanted to die of embarrassment. She worked late into the night on a proposal, only to be called in for a talk with HR the next day.

The reason was so absurd she wanted to call the police:

Xiao Mohan had asked whether she had a boyfriend.

She didn’t? Then he wanted her to quit.

Yan Xi stormed into the CEO’s office. “Mr. Xiao, is being single affecting the company’s IPO?”

She expected to be thrown out, but after she showed him their chat history to prove her innocence, the man fell silent for a moment, then apologized quietly.

He even asked, “What would you like as compensation?”

Yan Xi ventured, “How about… clearing out my shopping cart?”

Xiao Mohan looked at the 25,000-yuan bill and frowned.

“That’s all? Are you looking down on me?”

From that day on, the CEO who was as cold as an iceberg started acting strangely.

Until one day, Yan Xi accidentally sent another message:

“I think I’ve fallen for my boss.”

This time, Xiao Mohan pushed open the door and grabbed her wrist.

“Still going to say you sent it to the wrong person?”
