[Engineering Mystery + Folk Customs and Tomb Raiding + Anomalous Projects]

Duan Zhiyuan had spent seven years working on IT projects and had dealt with all kinds of unreasonable clients.

Then one day, a client came to him with a bizarre request:

Install an access control system at an abandoned well.

The well had been sealed for years. There was no passage at its mouth, and nobody went in or out.

But every night at 3:03 a.m., the old System generated a card-swipe record.

The cardholder was named Pan Degui.

He had died in a mining disaster twelve years ago, and his body had never been recovered.

Duan Zhiyuan thought it was just a glitch in the old System.

It wasn’t until the iron door beneath the abandoned well was opened that he realized:

Some people take on construction projects. Others take on graves.

And the job he’d taken was somewhere in between.
