After her best friend dies, Xu Hongdou's life and career hit rock bottom. She travels alone to Youfeng Courtyard in Yunmiao Village, Dali, to rest and regroup. There, she meets Xie Zhiyuan, a local who quit his high-paying job to return home and start a business, as well as a group of peers who have come from big cities. As they spend time together, Xie Zhiyuan comes to appreciate Xu Hongdou's kindness and conscientiousness. He invites her to draw on her years of hotel experience to help local workers improve their service awareness and support the development of cultural tourism in Yunmiao Village. At the same time, Xu Hongdou is moved by Xie Zhiyuan's dream of building up his hometown so that everyone can put their talents to use when young and be cared for in old age. The two fall for each other.
