Every time he falls asleep, designer Shen Li "falls" into a folk museum without an entrance. Twelve old objects with blood and resentment are displayed in the museum - a bloody paper-cut that can cut the red string by itself, an empty sedan chair that always sounds the suona at midnight, and a bowl of rice with human heads that can never be cooked. The curator is a faceless shadow puppet who tells her in a cold tone: If she solves one problem, her loved ones will live one more year; if she fails, she will lose an emotion forever in reality.
Shen Li was forced to follow the old folk rules of "never look back, never step on the threshold, and never stay on the bridge at night", and pieced together the truth among the bizarre copies of the bride in wedding clothes, the mourning woman, and the paper man receiving the bride. When she finally unlocked the eleventh item in the collection, she discovered that lying quietly in the last display cabinet was her grandmother's relic—a wooden comb engraved with her birth date. It turns out that she has never traveled through time; this museum has always been in her blood.
