He transmigrates into a world of Journey to the West where everyone has become female, and Tang Sanzang is the only male cultivator. He's also the “Chosen Daoist” whom everyone in the Sacred Realm of Heavenly Music has their eyes on. The Immortal Venerable of the Pure Bottle says he's the key to attaining the Dao, the Heavenly Mother says he should stay in the Sacred Realm, and the Tiger-Subduing Fairy blocks his door every day. They all want to keep him locked away in the Sacred Realm of Heavenly Music.
But Tang Sanzang refuses. He's awakened a heaven-defying System: the less he chants sutras, meditates, or follows the path laid out by the Sacred Realm, the stronger he gets. The Sacred Realm says he should meditate in seclusion, so he insists on heading west. Heaven says he should take his rightful place, so he insists on turning everything upside down.
He tames the haughty Great Sage Equal to Heaven with a head pat, makes a single remark that enrages a heavenly female general enough to chase him for three thousand miles, and catches the interest of the Demon Queen, who insists on tagging along.
In this life, he won't seek scriptures or worship the Dao. Instead, he'll take this unruly bunch and break every rule of the Sacred Realm of Heavenly Music and Heaven.
