An unresolved case in the Republic of China was deemed a suicide by the whole city, but the down-and-out but tough-talking Zhong Yaoxuan revealed the first trump card; he teamed up with the cold-faced and astute Zhu Ruoxi, and gambled repeatedly among the patrol room, chamber of commerce, and secret doors, using a corpse, an account book, and a coffin as bargaining chips to force out the real murderer hidden behind the neon lights and gunshots.
