Your Highness, Drop the Act! Your Frail Persona Has Crumbled

Modern stand-up comedy writer Su Wanwan dies suddenly and transmigrates. The moment she opens her eyes, she finds herself the Princess Consort of Prince Duan, married off as a substitute bride to bring him good fortune. Her husband, Pei Yanzhi, is frail, coughing up blood, and supposedly won’t live past twenty-five? Su Wanwan scoffs: She knows this trope. He’s a classic Big Boss faking an illness! Sharp-tongued and carefree, she spends every day grumbling to herself, unaware that the “sickly” prince hears every thought. He’s secretly delighted, lets himself fall for her, and casually cleans up her messes along the way. A side consort shows up dressed in white to pay her respects? The next day, her courtyard “accidentally” catches fire. Her stepmother and stepsister wait to see her make a fool of herself? Sitting in his wheelchair, he flings out the account books exposing their embezzlement, delivering a spectacular face-slapping. Even more ridiculously, Su Wanwan discovers that she’s a “sharp-tongued lucky charm”: whatever she complains about comes true! Panicking, she tries to keep quiet, but Pei Yanzhi pulls her into his arms and chuckles: “Complain all you want, Princess Consort. I’ll handle everything for you.” When turmoil once again grips the imperial court, his identity as the leader of the Xuanjing Bureau is revealed. After killing an assassin with a single sword strike, he turns to her and asks: “I’m done pretending. Are you afraid, Princess Consort?” Su Wanwan: “Not a chance! From now on, if anyone bullies me, I’ll tell them your name!” Pei Yanzhi: “Better to invoke me than just my name.”
