In 1943, Shanghai was under occupation. Su Huaian, on the surface, is the owner of an inconspicuous tailor shop in the French Concession. He tailors tailor-made clothes and has superb craftsmanship. He is deeply "trusted" by his neighbors and even some Japanese and puppet personnel.
