At 2:17 in the morning, Shen Ye received a text message.
"Welcome to the game of strange rules."
"Rule No. 1: Don't look in the mirror."
"Rule 2: You must close your eyes before three o'clock in the morning."
"Rule Three: Don't trust anyone who calls themselves a 'player.'"
"I hope you survive for 7 days."
Shen Ye thought it was a prank and casually took a photo of himself with the front camera of his phone.
In the camera, there is a person standing behind him.
That man has no face.
Seven days later, Shen Ye walked out of the first dungeon alive.
He found a new line of small words on his phone:
"The special talent has been activated - you can modify the rules before they take effect. Each modification consumes one year of life."
Others survive within the rules.
He writes on the rules.
But Shen Ye soon discovered that every rule he modified would trigger unpredictable chain reactions in the real world.
And the "lifespan" he used to modify the rules is being taken away by someone - or something - in a way that he cannot understand.
