One More Try: Can the Doctor Succeed?

The Doctor split his soul in two. One half bore the authority of the Three Moons and became a false god. He entrusted the other half to Fei'ao for safekeeping.

Later, the false god was defeated by everyone in Nod-Krai.

Later still, during the decisive battle in Sumeru, Fei'ao placed the half-soul he had been keeping in the ley lines. The Doctor’s consciousness traveled along the ley lines and entered Irminsul. Then the Traveler, Nahida, and Scaramouche joined forces to defeat the Doctor once and for all within Irminsul. Countless resentful ghosts of his segments dragged him into a sea of flames, where he was reduced to ashes.

But the Doctor once said something.

“If my soul is completely spent, what would be created if the version of me in other people’s memories were extracted as data, and another person’s complete soul were used as the base material?”

Fei'ao has only two years left to live. He remembers every word the Doctor said.
