I Have a Date with a Ghost!

After renting an old house on the outskirts of town, I learned that the red-clad ghost inside had been waiting for me for a full century.

In our previous lives, we joined forces to seal away the ancient ultimate evil. She stood guard alone over the abyss for a hundred years, while I fell into the cycle of reincarnation and was reborn.

A tide of ghosts engulfed Jiangcheng. Vengeful spirits haunted buses, and deadly domains filled the hospitals. The Ghost Gate plotted for a century, laying a soul-eroding formation across the entire city to sever the bond between the living and the dead and seize the source of reincarnation.

My soul was shattered and I was gravely wounded. Every time I used my powers, I damaged my foundation.

Her spirit core was on the verge of collapse. She had burned through her essence several times, facing the entire Ghost Gate headquarters alone.

So what if humans and ghosts are worlds apart?

I used my soul as a lock to bind us in life and death. She used her red robes as a shield, standing between me and countless evil spirits.

Now we’re hiding in the Cangshan secret realm, lying low as we recover. The Ghost Gate is closing in, tightening its encirclement at every turn, while the ancient ultimate evil beneath the earth gathers strength, waiting for a chance to break free.

In this life, I’ll be the one to keep her safe, roam every corner haunted by demons, and once more suppress the darkness of the ages.
