The Contemptuous Duerdren

Everyone knows the Crimson Jade Sword is unmatched in its sharpness, breaking every enemy in its path.

But no one knows

that the sword enshrined upon the altar is willing to bow its head for one person;

and that the seemingly frail, blunted strategist who walks in the sword's shadow

was the first to glimpse the crack in the sky screen.

When holy light crowns slaughter with the name of justice,

when the apocalypse is nothing but a lie enshrined in countless bones,

Leon wields his sword to defend the world still worth loving,

while Aether tears open the long night in which all have placed their faith.

“Listen, Leon.

If this world can survive only by sacrificing you, ”

“Then I will be the one to change it.”
