A 2012 A Sword in the Wilderness fanfic. The male lead is Gongzi Yu. The main plot of Volume One is a romance. Gongzi Yu's characterization is based on the original work, the TV drama, the game, and Ding Lingzhong. The female lead is based on Mingyue Xin from the game, with original elements.
I wrote this volume when I was a kid. It's melodramatic, so read with caution.
Volume Three is the Lord and Subject arc, with everyone finding redemption and a happy ending. [Fu Hongxue ends up with Zhou Ting.] It's unrelated to Volume One, so you can read Volume Three on its own.
