Thirty-two-year-old Feng Ji stands at the top of the industry and is the youngest commercial space design award winner in China. The things he designed were cold and restrained, just like the person he was - everyone thought he was born that way. Until he took over the renovation project of Baige Building, an abandoned old shopping mall next to his alma mater, and the place where all the secrets of his youth collapsed.
What's even more surprising is that the project coordinator sent by Party A is Su Wanning, who has disappeared for twelve years.
When she handed over the business card, her fingers didn't tremble, and her eyes didn't blink. It was like meeting her for the first time. But Feng Ji noticed that the curtains in her office were iris purple—her favorite color in high school. And on her wrist, there was a scar that he had never seen before.
Twelve years ago, she left without leaving a word. Twelve years later, she acted as if nothing had happened, as if he was just an insignificant piece of dust.
But in the basement of Baigelou, there are hidden the design drawings she drew for him; in the corner of the old bookstore, there are letters she didn't send; and she never demolished the first "home" he designed for her.
This is a story about design, memory and reconciliation. In the cracks of reinforced concrete, something collapsed and something grew again.
