Don't Let Go of My Hand

[Campus romance + sweet pampering + secret admirer wins her heart + childhood sweetheart gets his comeuppance]

(The proud heiress fallen on hard times vs. the devoted top student who protects her)

The day the Lin family went bankrupt,

Lin Qi fell from the clouds into the mud.

Her childhood sweetheart drew a clear line between them: “Lin Qi, I'm sorry.”

Lin Qi didn't cry.

She straightened her back, picked up her suitcase, and headed to Haicheng.

A girl born to shine

couldn't afford to lose her pride.

But she never expected

Jiang Xiao to transfer schools too!

The top student from Jing City, the one she'd dreamed of defeating,

why had he come to this little town too?

Lin Qi thought they were destined rivals reunited.

She swore she'd surpass him,

never knowing

Jiang Xiao had been waiting for this day

for years.

Jiang Xiao had seen Lin Qi at her proudest,

and witnessed her most wretched moments.

His years of secret love

became impossible to hide

on the very first day he transferred.

Later, her childhood sweetheart knelt before Lin Qi and begged her to forgive him.

Lin Qi didn't even look up.

“You don't deserve it.”

Only when Lin Qi returned to the top did she discover, to her surprise,

that her boyfriend's whole hardworking, inspirational, left-behind-kid persona

was actually fake!?

Only later did Lin Qi learn

that Jiang Xiao's devotion to her

had crossed 1,900 kilometers, from Jing City to Haicheng,

and lasted from their youth all the way to the wedding aisle.

Jiang Xiao had been secretly in love with Lin Qi for a long time,

so long that he couldn't even remember when it began.

He only knew

that from the day he confessed,

he would never let her go again.

(A sweet romance)
