The Darkworld Seal

The number one sect under heaven, the Profound Sword Sect, indulged its ambitions of frenzied expansion, bullying the weak and wantonly plundering the small sects around it. It set its sights on stripping the Green Pine Sect bare, driving it to the brink of ruin.

The so-called rule of the strong is nothing but a lofty excuse the powerful use when they bully the weak with their strength.

The Green Pine Sect's disciples were gripped by panic, each harboring their own thoughts, and the sect slid toward collapse. Yet a few people stubbornly held their ground, even as their bodies were shattered, determined to defend the sect as it became a ruin...

When a century-old legacy and years of hard work are about to become someone else's stepping stone, what will these last defenders ultimately find waiting for them...

"The Profound Sword Sect wants spirit stones, so we'll give them some. If we can't give enough, we'll accept that. But spirit stones aren't all they want. They want us to bow down first, shut our own gates, and tear down our own banner. They want us to kneel and say, 'I don't deserve the soul of the Green Pine Sect. I don't know who I am. I only know I'm a slave.'"

"The soul and heritage of our Green Pine Sect must never be destroyed. We may be weak, but we will not yield, so I refuse!"

"You may think that if there aren't enough spirit stones to mine, then there's nothing we can do. But the most important thing I've learned in my life is this: you can never know the result of something before you try."

At the moment of crisis, the Sect Master returned astride a dragon.

Master Keye looked at Lu Tu and the massed cultivators of the Profound Sword Sect, all of them stunned. Seeing the enormous vicious dragon beside him and the mighty magical treasure in his hand, they had already begun to lose their nerve.

Master Keye's voice was not loud, but everyone heard him.

"From now on, we of the Green Pine Sect will kneel no more!!!"
