A Delicate Male Insect, Please Take Good Care of Me

The new emperor, Dong Lin, has an "open secret": his consort has run away.

For four years, he hasn't answered a single message.

The entire empire thinks His Majesty has given up.

In reality, he secretly spent three years pushing himself to the limit: learning polar survival skills, forging an identity, changing his appearance, and then sneaking into the ice fields to win his consort back.

The plan was perfect: infiltrate, play the victim, win sympathy, and slowly wear down his defenses.

Reality was harsh:

Step one: he nearly froze to death in the snow.

Step two: he was picked up and taken home by his own four-year-old child.

Step three: the general in his family has gone missing?!!!

The blizzard hasn't even stopped, and his quest to win his consort back has already been buried in an avalanche.

En Pei Russell, general of the Second Legion, an S-rank female insectoid.

Four years ago, he fled in the middle of the night with their baby in his belly, successfully ditching the lunatic male insectoid who treated him like a "collectible."

Four years later, his child brings home a "weather researcher" found in the snow.

"Father, he's so pitiful. I wanna take care of him."

En Pei studies the stranger's face and can't shake the feeling that something is off.

Gentle and innocent, but... way too fake.

And how is this frail "researcher's" fighting ability better than the veterans in his legion?

(There's a marriage-first, love-later romance, a groveling chase to win his lover back, and two superstar actors showing off their skills and flirting with each other, plus an adorable little one~ This isn't a traditional insectoid story, so please note in advance: fans of the male lead only, beware. The love interest is tsundere, short-tempered, and sharp-tongued, all bark and no bite~ The male lead is a master actor and a seasoned green tea. He may seem "humble," but he never lets himself go without.)
