Newbie on the road, please take care of me!
When I wrote the words "Full article complete", I stared at the screen for a long time.
This is my first time writing a novel.
In the past, I always felt that writing novels was a very distant thing, the kind of thing that "very powerful people can do." I just occasionally have some short stories and fragments that pop up in my mind, scattered and incomplete. But this time I don't know where the courage came from, so I really sat down and wrote it chapter by chapter.
From the first chapter to the thirtieth chapter, with more than 100,000 words, the story of Lin Wanwan and Lu Chenzhou grew up bit by bit. Yes, it was "grown" - many plots were not thought out in advance. As they were written, the characters took on a life of their own, and they could speak, act, and fall in love with each other. I am just a recorder, faithfully writing down their daily lives.
The story is pretty bland. There is no deep sadomasochism, no grudges between wealthy families, and no bloody plot full of misunderstandings. It is a story about two people from strangers to familiarity, from contract to sincerity. They slowly got closer among the firewood, rice, oil and salt, their hearts moved quietly among the sticky notes and honey water, and they confirmed each other in the hot pot and fireworks. Many people say that such a story is "not exciting enough", but I just like the warmth of this steady flow. Life is already very tiring, and I want to write a story that makes readers feel warm after reading it. If I could do that, I would be very satisfied.
Thank you to everyone reading this. It is your company that gives me the motivation to read chapter by chapter. Every time I see the readings, collections, and comments, I feel like - ah, it turns out that someone is really reading, it turns out that I am not talking to the air. This feeling of being seen is really, really important for a new author.
Special thanks to those readers who pointed out bugs and made suggestions seriously. Someone asked, "Do babies cry when they are born?" I checked the information to confirm the medical facts; someone said, "The plot here can be a little richer," and I seriously considered the direction of revision. Every piece of feedback from you is the motivation for my progress.
I will probably continue writing novels. This story is over, but the next one may already be on the way. I hope I can write better next time - the characters are more vivid, the plot is smoother, and the emotions are more touching.
Finally, let me end with a sentence from the story——
"Year after year, year after year. Good things happen every year."
I hope you who read this can also encounter good things of your own.
See you in the next story.
