Mu Jinran eyed his wound with a hint of provocation. “That'll leave a scar, Mr. Ji.”

Ji Zhuoyue knelt before her with the bloody wound still on display. His expression showed no pain or resentment whatsoever. “You gave it to me, Big Sister. I like it very much.”

Slap.

Mu Jinran casually slapped him across the face again. Watching his once-straight posture waver, she looked at his chest and drawled, “But I don't like it. It's ugly.”

Her brows furrowed slightly, as if she truly hated the wound that would leave a scar, with no sense at all that she was the one who'd caused it.

Ji Zhuoyue crawled a step closer, asking anxiously, “Then once it heals, can I get rid of it? I promise it won't leave a scar. It'll look just like before.”

Mu Jinran said nothing. She didn't seem very pleased with that suggestion. Only after Ji Zhuoyue offered a few more ideas did she reluctantly settle on one.

“Then get a tattoo to cover it up.”

A glimmer of light returned to Ji Zhuoyue's eyes. “Okay. What should I get tattooed, Big Sister?”

“How about a tattoo of Mu Jinran's dog?”

Ji Zhuoyue looked delighted. He even smiled as he asked her, “Do you want me to be your dog, Big Sister?”

He seemed desperate to be her dog.

“Mr. Ji, you're not even qualified to be my dog.”
