The heroine, Lin Zhiyu, is forced into marriage after Gu Yan Heng, heir to the Marquis of Zhenbei, schemes to make her his wife. Everyone says Gu Yan Heng is a dissolute wastrel who neglects his proper duties, but they do not know this is only a disguise concealing his true intentions.
From loathing to understanding, from suspicion to cherishing one another, the matching-locket tied around her waist is the only light in their cage.
