I'm a Mercenary in the Game

[Apocalypse Survival + System + Game + No Saintly Heroics + Cooperative Multiplayer]

The apocalypse survival game [Settlement], with incredibly realistic senses, has launched.

Xia He, a freshman at Jiangling Normal University, has earned access to the closed beta. How will he lead players and NPCs in exploring the game world?

NPC: Charge! [The Boss] said to take down those monsters. There’s a supermarket up ahead with endless bread and bottled water!

Player: Whoa! These NPCs have such realistic expressions, incredibly detailed models, and they can even think for themselves.

NPC: [The Boss] says we’re suffering now so our descendants won’t have to. Once [The Boss] buys a divine-grade suit of armor next month, he’ll lead us somewhere bigger to build a shelter, where all our descendants can enjoy the happy life of working 24/7, 7 days a week. Anyway, I’m off to charge into battle!

Xia He: I don’t care who you are. Once you’re here, you follow my rules. I don’t keep idle people around.

Ever since Xia He started playing [Settlement], his back stopped hurting, his legs stopped aching, and his mood improved. His income, however, went down.

Shelter motto: I only recruit top talent and sell top-tier weapons. My goal is to become the game world’s premier arms dealer and the strongest mercenary group.
