Demon God: Taiyi

My name is Chen Hao. I’m seventeen, and my life’s ambition is to get into a vocational college, work in an electronics factory, and have all my social insurance and housing fund contributions covered.

But this kid who claims to be my cousin refuses to leave my house. He’s always grinning as he asks, “Bro, do you want to win? It’ll cost you, though.”

I thought he was just mooching off my meals. Then a senior girl from my academy was shot in the head and fell right in front of me. Only then did he step out of the shadows, his pupils glowing gold.

“First deal,” he said, holding out his hand. “I’ll take one-fifth of your soul.”

Golden flames burned through the night sky from my right eye.

That night, I received an S-rank evaluation. That night, I stopped being human.

He can still help me four more times. After that, he’ll become a complete Demon Emperor. And I’ll disappear.

But I’m betting on one thing: he’s lived in the attic of my house for eight years, pretending to be my little brother.

Maybe he doesn’t just want my body. Maybe he wants someone who’ll call him “Bro.”
