Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Nian Wuyou

[Beautiful, strong, tragic trio] [Love triangle tension] [Forced imprisonment] [Heartbreaking past-life tragedy] [No rivalry between women] [Open, tender ending]

Help! Two men who’ve been obsessed for a hundred years have gone mad over a herb-gathering girl!

The nine-tailed fox Bai Wuyou locks her inside a replica of their palace from a past life. His nine tails never leave her side. He clumsily cooks for her and brushes her hair all night. His words are cool and restrained, but his eyes betray his fear of losing her.

Immortal Lord Wen Ruyu, covered in blood and acting recklessly, tries to reach her inside the barrier. He grinds through it with his immortal body, refusing to take a single step back even as he’s covered in wounds. Beneath his mad laughter lies nothing but a desire to atone.

Dongfang Nian was an ordinary herb-gatherer living in the mountains, blessed with a special power of will that could heal all creation. Night after night, she was haunted by nightmares of a sea of flames.

Then fragments of memory began to surge forth, and the cruel truth of her past life was revealed: a hundred years ago, during the war between immortals and demons, she sacrificed herself to end the conflict. The Fox Lord gripped her left hand while the Immortal Lord pulled at her right. Their two desperate affections tore her apart and killed her.

The Heavenly Dao, angered by the trio’s entanglement and their disturbance of reincarnation, sent down a heavenly tribulation and dispatched agents to hunt them down and settle the score.

The two who had once stood against each other laid aside all their grudges and defied Heaven at her side. They entered a realm of inner trials, faced a century of sins, and apologized and made peace with one another.

When the tribulation ended, the three found a place among the peach blossoms and built a home together. There was no forced choice, no painful separation leaving anyone with regrets.

Fallen petals carpeted the mountains. She walked between them, one fox and one immortal quietly at her sides. Through the long years ahead, they would cherish one another, and slowly vie for her affection.
